Privacy Policy

Grippy ("the app") is developed by Plaind (dawid@plaind.pl). This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and how you can have it removed.
What we collect
- Account information — your email address, used to sign you in (email/password or Sign in with Apple).
- Climbing data — boulder photos, hold positions and notes, sessions, tags, and grades you create in the app.
- Basic usage events — anonymised, aggregate events (e.g. "a boulder was created", "a session was logged") used to understand which features are actually used. These events are not tied to your name or email.
We do not collect location data, contacts, or anything from your device beyond what's listed above.
Where it's stored
Your account and climbing data are stored with Supabase (hosted in the EU). Photos are stored in Supabase Storage under your own account, access-controlled so only you can read or write them. A copy of your data also lives locally on your device — that's what lets the app work offline.
Third parties
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
- Apple — if you choose "Sign in with Apple".
- Aptabase — privacy-first, anonymised product analytics (no personal identifiers, no ad tracking).
- Instagram — only if you choose to attach an Instagram link to a boulder; the embedded video is then loaded from Instagram's own servers when you view that boulder, subject to Instagram's own policies.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Your choices
You can delete your account at any time from Account → Delete account inside the app. This permanently removes your account and the climbing data associated with it from our servers. Data stored only locally on your device (not yet synced) is not affected by this and stays on your device until you delete the app itself.
Children
Grippy is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
